Cultivate EXPR har som ambition att bli ett återkommande event som förenar konst, design och skrivande. Här möts olika uttrycksformer för att belysa de ofta komplexa frågor som uppstår i mötet mellan samtidskonst och ekologi. Genom denna sammansmältning av idéer och perspektiv, söker vi förstå de utmaningar vår tid ställer oss inför och skapa ett utrymme för reflektion och möjlig förändring.

Detta Open Call riktar sig till yrkesverksamma konstnärer som experimenterar med begreppet Artist Books och dess potential för konstnärligt uttryck.

Konstnärsböckerna väljs av vårt curatoriska team genom en öppen ansökan enligt principen ”först till kvarn”, men där hänsyn tas till att alla bidrag uppnår konstnärlig verkshöjd och att den ansökande är verksam som konstnär.

Kostnad för medverkande är en anmälningsavgift om 250kr för att täcka lokalhyra och administrativa kostnader.

Ansökan beaktas endast efter inkommen ansökningsavgift.

Ej kompletta ansökningar kommer inte att beaktas.

Filformat: Endast pdf, jpg, png och word. Företrädesvis samlas information i pdf-format. Andra filtyper, inklusive Apple pages beaktas INTE.

• Alla artist books i ansökan skall vara gjorda av en konstnär, samma som den ansökande. Om den ansökande är en grupp kontakta: info@slipvillan.org för info
  
• Om verket finns i upplaga tar Slipvillan emot max 6 st av varje verk.
• Varje verk måste vara signerat, numrerat, prissatt och till försäljning. 
• Slipvillan tar 30% provision vid eventuell försäljning (ink moms). 
• Lämna försäljningspris ink och ex provision. Endast i SEK
• Verken skall kunna visas i sin helhet. Om verket inte får hanteras av publik: beskriv hur verket skall exponeras. 
• Den ansökande ansvarar själv för transport. Om verket skall skickas åter med post måste rätt frankerat emballage bifogas.

Slipvillan förbehåller sig rätten att välja ut hur många och vilka verk som visas . Alla media är tillåtna men Slipvillan avgör om verket går att visa i sammanhanget.

Cultivate EXPR aims to become a recurring event that unites art, design, and writing. Here, different forms of expression converge to illuminate the often complex questions that arise at the intersection of contemporary art and ecology. Through this fusion of ideas and perspectives, we seek to understand the challenges of our time and create a space for reflection and potential change.

This Open Call is aimed at professional artists who experiment with the concept of Artist Books and its potential for artistic expression.

Artist books will be selected by our curatorial team through an open application based on the principle of "first come, first served," but taking into account that all contributions meet artistic standards and that the applicant is an active artist.

The application will only be considered after the participation fee is received.

To apply, please use the form below. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

File format: Only pdf, jpg, png, and word. Preferably gather information in pdf format. Other file types, including Apple pages, will NOT be considered.

All artist books in the application must be made by the same artist applying. If the applicant is a group, please contact: info@slipvillan.org for information. If the work is in an edition, Slipvillan accepts a maximum of 6 copies of each work. Each work must be signed, numbered, priced, and for sale.

Slipvillan takes a 30% commission on any sale (including Taxes). Provide the sales price including and excluding commission. Only in SEK currency. The works must be able to be fully displayed. If the work cannot be handled by the public: describe how the work should be exhibited. The applicant is responsible for the transport. If the work is to be returned by post, the correct pre-payed postage must be included.

Slipvillan reserves the right to select how many and which works are displayed. All media are allowed, but Slipvillan determines if the work can be shown in context.
